Chapter Overview

All You Need Is Honey is the first full chapter inside Honeyglow Woods and the longest tutorial block in the Adventure Pack. You arrived here after Childhood Treasures — Pooh greets you in Drowsybloom Acre and asks for help restoring sweetness to the woods. This chapter introduces corrupted honey swirls, the Diggy-Wiggy Potion shovel upgrade, Twistroots blocking the river, beekeeping with the Busy Bees' House, and your first cooking recipe: the Honeycrunch Bar.

Budget forty-five to seventy-five minutes depending on how quickly you forage Oak Leaves and Driftwood. Every material listed in this guide spawns in Drowsybloom Acre during Chapter 1 — you do not need Gloommeadow or Braveheart Grove access yet. When you finish, continue to Chapter 2: About Thought, Fog, and Light where Thought Fog mechanics and the Honeyglow Elixir take center stage.

Keep your Royal Fishing Rod equipped near the river section. Two of the four Busy Bees' House pieces come from fishing spots marked on your minimap after clearing Twistroots. Missing those nodes is the most common reason players stall before crafting the hive.

Hide and Seek — Four Rounds

Pooh starts with a friendly hide-and-seek minigame to teach camera movement and interaction radius in Honeyglow Woods. You play four rounds total. Each round, Pooh hides somewhere near his house, the honey tree, or the meadow path. Follow the golden sparkle trail on the ground when you feel stuck — it points toward his hiding spot without fully revealing it.

Round one places Pooh behind a tree close to his front door. Round two moves farther toward the riverbank. Round three hides him near flower patches where you will later place beekeeping blooms. Round four finishes near the corrupted honey swirl investigation area. Talk to Pooh after each find to advance dialogue and unlock the next round marker.

Hide-and-seek has no failure state. If you wander too far, the quest log reminder pings and Pooh calls out a hint. You cannot skip directly to honey swirl objectives — the game requires all four rounds before Pooh shares the memory fragment tied to corrupted honey. Use this downtime to open your map and note Oak Leaf piles along the path for upcoming crafting.

Corrupted Honey Swirls and Pooh's Memory

After hide-and-seek, Pooh asks you to investigate pulsing corrupted honey swirls near the meadow edge. Interact with each swirl to watch a short memory vignette — childhood scenes of the Hundred Acre Wood before Thought Fog spread. There are three swirls in Chapter 1, each granting lore and a quest update toward the shovel upgrade.

The final swirl triggers Pooh's request for a special potion that can cut through twisted roots choking the river. He sends you foraging with a concrete recipe list. Corrupted swirls look like dark amber whirlpools on the ground; they are not combat encounters. You cannot destroy them yet — that mechanic arrives in later chapters with fog-busting elixirs on your watering can.

While exploring swirls, pick up every Oak Leaf and Driftwood node you pass. Chapter 1 crafting consumes these materials immediately for the Diggy-Wiggy Potion and later Busy Bees' House assembly. Sweet Chestnuts from nearby trees also matter in Chapter 2 for Honeyglow Elixir, so grab extras if inventory space allows.

Diggy-Wiggy Potion and Clearing Twistroots

Craft the Diggy-Wiggy Potion at Pooh's crafting station once you gather: 3 Oak Leaves, 2 Driftwood, and 1 Shiny Honey Agate. Oak Leaves drop from ground piles and rustling trees throughout Drowsybloom Acre. Driftwood washes up along the riverbank — check both sides of the bridge near Pooh's house. The Shiny Honey Agate spawns as a sparkling gem node near corrupted honey; equip your Royal Pickaxe to mine it.

Consume the Diggy-Wiggy Potion from your inventory before digging. It temporarily enchants your Royal Shovel to remove Twistroots — thick gnarled roots blocking the apiary river path. Dig out all four Twistroots markers on your map. Two roots drop Busy Bees' House blueprint pieces when destroyed; the other two pieces require fishing at golden ripple spots in the cleared river section.

If your shovel bounces off roots, the potion wore off or was never applied. Recraft only if you consumed it without finishing all four digs — most players need just one potion for the full set. Twistroots do not respawn after removal, so this is a one-time gate for Chapter 1 beekeeping access.

Busy Bees' House, Beekeeping, and Honeycrunch Bar

Combine all four Busy Bees' House pieces at the crafting table to build the structure. Place it in Furniture Mode near wildflowers along the river — the yellow pollination square must contain up to six healthy blooms for fastest Golden Honey output. Interacting with the placed house launches the beekeeping tutorial explaining pollination counters and harvest timing.

Wait for Golden Honey to appear in the house menu or harvest when the pot icon glows. Pooh then requests a Honeycrunch Bar cooked at any stove. The recipe combines Golden Honey with Sweet Chestnuts foraged from Drowsybloom Acre trees. Deliver the dish to Pooh to complete Chapter 1 and unlock fog-related objectives leading into Chapter 2.

Leave the Busy Bees' House planted where you placed it — relocating is optional but the pollination square must stay filled.
