Honeyglow Woods Controls

General Movement and Interaction

Honeyglow Woods uses the same control scheme as the base Disney Dreamlight Valley game. On PC, move with WASD or arrow keys, interact with E, and open inventory with I. On console, use the left stick to move, A / Cross to interact, and the menu button for inventory. Mobile uses a virtual joystick plus tap-to-interact prompts.

These basics apply throughout all four Honeyglow Woods biomes and when visiting the main Valley through portal fast travel. If controls feel unresponsive after entering the Adventure Pack for the first time, reload the zone once — a known day-one patch addressed input lag on some Xbox builds.

Furniture Mode and Beekeeping

Beekeeping depends on Furniture Mode, the same system used to place the Tree Sprout portal and Busy Bees' Houses. Open Furniture Mode from the toolbar (PC: F or dedicated hotkey in settings; console: D-pad shortcut; mobile: furniture icon). While active, you can pick up, rotate, and place Busy Bees' Houses and flowers inside the yellow pollination square.

Harvest Golden Honey by interacting with a placed house when the pot icon glows. You cannot harvest from Furniture Mode — exit to normal movement first. See Golden Honey guide for the full beekeeping loop tied to Chapter 1.

Gathering Tools: Shovel, Fishing Rod, Pickaxe

Chapter 1 requires upgraded shovel interactions after consuming the Diggy-Wiggy Potion. Equip the Royal Shovel from the tool wheel, aim at Twistroots, and press interact. Fish Twistroots debris and Busy Bees' House pieces at golden river ripples with the Royal Fishing Rod — cast near bubbling spots in Drowsybloom Acre.

Mine Shiny Honey Agate along biome walls with the Royal Pickaxe. Oak Leaves gather automatically when walking through leaf piles under trees. These gathering controls match base-game Dreamlight Valley — no Adventure Pack-specific rebindings.

Cooking, Photo Mode, and Pooh Sticks

Cook honey recipes at any stove — interact to open the recipe menu, drag ingredients, and confirm. Chapter 1's Honeycrunch Bar requires Golden Honey plus Sweet Chestnuts from foraging. Photo Mode (pause menu or dedicated shortcut) captures hedgehog poses after taming — see hedgehog guide.

Pooh Sticks activates at the bridge in Gloommeadow. Gather four villagers, interact with the bridge marker, and follow on-screen prompts to drop items downstream. Controls during the minigame are simplified: confirm to release your stick, watch the race, then interact to claim friendship rewards. Full rules on Pooh Sticks guide.

Rebinding and Accessibility

Rebind controls in Settings → Keyboard & Mouse or Controller Configuration. Dreamlight Valley supports remapping interact, tool wheel, and Furniture Mode separately. For accessibility, enable hold-to-interact, larger UI scale, and subtitle languages matching the game's eight supported locales (Honeyglow Woods content is fully voiced in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish).

Cloud save players should verify control settings sync per platform — Steam Deck and Switch handheld layouts differ from docked mode. If Furniture Mode cursor misaligns on ultrawide monitors, switch to 16:9 windowed mode temporarily as a workaround documented in patch notes.
